Piano Lessons with Jeffrey Huspek

Jeffrey Huspek has been teaching piano and music theory since 2003. Over the years, he has worked with students ranging from age 4 to 80, from complete beginners taking their very first lesson to advanced musicians looking to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of music.

What Jeffrey enjoys most about teaching is watching students grow as musicians and discover music that excites them. He believes one of the biggest reasons people lose interest in learning an instrument is because they are only exposed to a very small portion of what piano music has to offer. Piano is anything but boring when students are encouraged to explore different styles, composers, and genres that truly capture their interest.

His goal is to help each student find what fascinates them while building the skills and confidence needed to enjoy music for a lifetime.

Jeffrey also has extensive experience working with students who have special needs and strives to create a patient, encouraging, and supportive learning environment where every student can succeed at their own pace.

Jeffrey's teaching philosophy centers on helping students become independent, informed musicians rather than simply teaching them how to play a few songs.

Lessons begin with a strong foundation. Students learn essential skills such as reading music, proper posture, hand position, rhythm, note recognition, and overall technique. These fundamentals create the building blocks needed for long-term success at the piano.

As students grow, lessons expand into music theory, musical interpretation, and exploration of different styles of music. While every student follows a structured path, lessons are adapted to individual interests and goals. Some students enjoy classical music, while others may be interested in contemporary pieces, film music, or other genres.

Lessons are typically 45 to 60 minutes in length and are available both in person and online. Students receive personalized instruction, guidance for effective practice habits, and ongoing encouragement as they progress toward their musical goals.
